Hola, my name is Lupe Nambo, a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and owner of Luna Counseling here in Sacramento, California.

I am a Latina, born and raised in Southern California, a first-generation college graduate, and a proud daughter of immigrants.

When I am not working with people in the community, you can find me hiding under a book. I love to read! I also enjoy cooking, creating, and writing.

My Story

Education & Training

I earned my Masters's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with a certification In Latin American Family Therapy from Alliant International University.

I have been serving clients since 2015 and have worked extensively with underrepresented communities of color, providing therapy to address generational cycles of abuse and Trauma.

My work is client-centered and rooted in advocacy and restorative justice. In my work, I aim to challenge dominant narratives in mental health by practicing therapy from a decolonized lens. To achieve that is to undo colonization and Anti-Blackness in our community and create spaces to reclaim collective healing and reconnect to our minds and bodies. Although I work mainly with people of color, Luna Counseling is a safe and inclusive space for all.
