Area Of Focus
My Approach
I’m Lupe Nambo-Basua (She/Ella), a bilingual Latina psychotherapist (LMFT) in Sacramento, CA. My passion lies in decolonizing mental health, disrupting generational cycles of trauma, and fostering a culture that normalizes mental health and emotional expression within BIPOC communities.
My approach goes beyond traditional therapy; I’m dedicated to creating spaces where individuals feel empowered to explore and address the intricate layers of their mental well-being, especially the often unseen impact of historical, cultural, and intergenerational factors. I recognize that mental health doesn’t exist in a vacuum but is shaped by our cultural roots, community ties, and personal experiences. With this in mind, I guide mental health participants in unpacking the ways these influences intersect with their mental and emotional health, helping them reclaim their narratives and heal from cycles of inherited trauma.
In my practice, I’m committed to fostering a space where each client’s voice, identity, and lived experience are honored. I aim to create an atmosphere that is supportive and challenges clients to deepen their understanding of themselves and confront core beliefs. True healing and self-discovery require cultivating trust, embracing vulnerability, and holding space for growth without judgment.
